"What do you think about the international marriage?"

One day, if you could meet a charming foreign boy or adorable lady, will you marry or will you give chance for your marriage? If the two people love each other sincerely, it doesn't matter which country they come from. But as we known, international marriage usually comes with a bad ending. From the stories I read, most of them are not happy. They may enjoy their relationship very much at the beginning. However, things will run in a opposite way after they get married. After all, the environment where they grew up is totally different, so their ideas will be different too. Maybe it is called culture conflict? International marriage is challenging, sometimes confusing and has a lots of complicated things such as culture and language is a big one.

EVERYDAY we live in a world where what we think is upside-down and different from how we might expect. It is not bad if we are ready for it in our heart and mind. If we choose well, it can be a wonderful experience. If we choose foolishly and too quickly, it can become an embarrassing distaster.

Marriage doesn't last for a day, but for a lifetime. Different values and cultural backgrounds are the main reasons why the couples won’t be able to stay happy forever. In addition, our children would be confused as to where we belong.

My friends don't think international marriage is bad, but they can't accept it themselves. There are regulations which Buddhism must follow and cultural backgrounds are different.

What do you think about the international marriage? Do you have any friends who are experiencing a happy international marriage?

My Friend' Two Cents: It's not about Buddhism, Buddhism preaches love and kindness. It's about culture, ethic, custom and belief. Some likes to maintain their bloodline pure thus avoiding inter-racial marriage.

If the couple is understanding towards one another, ...and the family supportive, there shouldn't be any difference between normal and inter-racial marriage.

But ♥ Love is love no matter where you find it. ♪♪
